I’ve been going since a kid, can’t say I’ve had anything bad from here. Good prices and always quick, I think the longest I had to wait was 5 minutes for something I wanted fresh. Great people there! Have to try the butter cake.

Loved it. The shop is small but really nice. The staff is so friendly especially since I was there first thing in the morning. I got a strawberry shortcake for my mom’s birthday and everyone loved it. I’ll be back for sure.

Moved into the area and my first visit to highly recommended bakery! My hubby's birthday today, so I bought him the 5***** creme donut! Which he says is 5*! Nobody mentioned in the reviews that special holiday German treats (see photos) could be found here at the bakery! My mother has German heritage, so I've heard about them my whole life, but I have never seen them! Butter cake has always been popular in my family as well and we be acquired on my next visit!!

Holmesburg Bakery is one of the oldest small businesses in all of NE Philly and it’s apparent why when you try their baked goods! They have a variety of items and it’s always fresh and delicious! Their buttercake is probably their most famous item, and it is so sweet and melts in your mouth! My family always asks me to bring some when i visit. They also have a lot of smaller things such as cookies, brownies, doughnuts, cannolis, and so much more! Prices are very reasonable, but pay cash if possible to avoid the 3% card fee. I 100% recommend this business and will seek out their butter cakes even if I move out of the neighborhood!
